Math Lab/Newton's Corner Staff

Welcome! Hi, I’m Jeanne Moseley, daytime supervisor of the Math Lab/Newton’s Corner.   I have a B.A. in Mathematics from Goucher College, and an M.S. in Computer Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.  I have taught Math at DCC as an adjunct for the last 10 years, and  before that was a computer programmer.  I have two boys, a freshman and a senior at Yale, and a husband who works at IBM.  In my spare time, I like to read, walk, and play with my two dogs.  I hope you’ll drop in for some help.  I look forward to meeting you!

Hello, My name is Nicolas (Nick) Lobotsky, the evening supervisor of the Math Lab/Newton's Corner.  I have a B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from Keuka College and a M.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Texas.  For the three years I was working on my M.S. in Texas I taught undergraduate Math courses and have been tutoring mathematics for 12 years.  I can help with all the mathematics courses and help work through the chemistry question. During the day I help my father with the family farm up in Rhinebeck (Wonderland Farms).  During my free time I generally read, play video games, play poker and ski.  See you there.

Hi, my name is Sarah.  I am a second-year Secondary Education Math major, but I also have a Communications and Media Arts Associates.  I love to learn and enjoy helping others succeed.  I can help with Calc I & II, and PHY151.  Outside of DCC I work full time, have my own cookie business (I promise to bake at least 2-3 times a semester for the students in lab), and tutor high school math.  See you in the math lab!

Hi, my name is Pete.   I specialize in tutoring  Calc 1 and Calc 3, but am qualified in other math areas.  I am  a DCC and Pace university graduate making a career change to Education.  I am a huge sports fan and very interested in US history.  Come visit the math lab if you need assistance with one of your classes, I’d love to help.

“Hello”, my name is Scott and I welcome you to my bio. I am at Dutchess for a degree in Engineering and will be more than happy to help you with all math related questions up to and including Calculus 1.  In my spare time I enjoy cycling and most anything to do with the outdoors.  I’m glad that you have decided to read my blurb and I hope to meet and talk with you further in the lab.  See you soon!

Hi, I'm Felix, refer to me as 'flex' if you find me in the math Lab, yeah! I'm Mathematics and Computer Science Major, I can help anyone if not everyone with Calculus I, II III and anything else below these such as Algebra, Pre-calculus, Geometry etc. I can also help with Java(Object Oriented Programming) and if I may not help you under any circumstances, I'll simply find another way to help you. If I'm not in a study mood I tend to listen to my favorite music Reggae yeah! – so gentle and sentimental…sweet...see you in the lab…..

Hi, I'm Ricky.  I'm a math and physics major here, so I can help you with Math and Physics for the most part.  I'm a big Sports fan, Giants, Yankees, and Rangers.  I'm also a musician, I used to study music performance.  Jazz trumpet mainly, been playing since I was 8.  See you in the lab!

Hi, my name is Hannah. I am currently in my first year at Dutchess majoring in Liberal Arts and Science. While I'm not busy with school, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, doing anything outdoors and milking cows at a neighboring farm. If you need help with Calculus I and Chemistry 121, I hope to be able to help you understand it.

Hi, my name is Brendan and this is my second full-time semester at Dutchess.  I'm here to help you with Physics 1&2, and all math except statistics.  You can also come visit me at my other job at the Olive Garden where I do take out orders and a little bit of bartending and serving.  In my free time I love playing hockey, watching movies, and saving the world.  Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are my heroes.
